GSTV: Did you have any particular inspiration for the garments you have on display?
MHL: I don’t because I don’t work with changing seasons and new colours of fabrics. It mainly depends on what fabric I find next month or next year and then I make my garments. So there is no particular inspiration. I don’t do trends, maybe different shapes but I always use different fabrics.
GSTV: As you don’t do collections everything is pretty much a one-off piece.
MHL: Yes, that’s why I think my clients still come back to me even after 10 years because they always feel like they can wear something different to other people and it also lasts longer and doesn’t go out of fashion.
